Ruby Weiss comes from a long line of musicians and artists. Her great-grandparents fled the pogroms in Belarus during the early part of the twentieth century and made their way to Europe. The themes of displacement and the wandering gypsy are at the heart of her compositions. Based in Dublin, she studied voice at the College of Music and performance at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin. Her music is a mix of the Flamenco style with a French twist. She has collaborated with a number of international musicians, among whom are Juan Jose Manzano, Arash Kazami and Nicolas Kluzek. She is currently working on her debut album.
